A TopView alternative built around hooks, not clones

TopView turns a product link, an image, a script or a campaign brief into creator-style video, and its signature move is rebuilding a reference ad you already know performs, with your product inside it. Sepia starts from a different place: one product photo, a short brief, and a set of ads that each open on a different hook. This page lays out the tradeoff instead of declaring a winner.

TopView vs Sepia

Both products make UGC-style ads without a shoot. They disagree on where the creative idea comes from: an existing video that worked, or a brief you have not tested yet.

You already have a reference ad you want rebuilt around your product, or you need the same video localised into many markets at once.

Choose Sepia when

01

Hooks you have not tested yet

Rebuilding a video that already worked is a good move when you have one. Sepia is built for the moment before that: it proposes several distinct angles from the same product so you can find the winner instead of borrowing someone else's.

02

Credits that keep their value

Sepia bills pay-as-you-go. You can buy a one-time pack or take a monthly plan, and unused credits do not expire. That suits teams producing in bursts around a launch rather than every single week.

03

A full pipeline, fully automated

Upload, brief, done. Sepia handles the whole chain: casting, voice, footage, 9:16 vertical, burned-in subtitles and music, ready to post on TikTok, Reels and Shorts. No shoot, no crew, delivered in around a day.

Frequently asked questions

Can Sepia rebuild an ad I know performs?

Not as a one-click feature. Sepia takes a brief, so you can describe the structure of an ad that works and it will build around that, but recreating a specific existing video shot for shot is TopView's angle, not Sepia's.

Do I need to pick an avatar?

No. Sepia casts the creator for the ad from your brief. There is no catalog to browse, which is faster when you want variety and less useful when you want the same face every time.

Can I use both?

Plenty of teams do. Rebuilding proven references and generating fresh hooks are complementary jobs. Sepia is pay-as-you-go, so running it next to a subscription tool costs only what you generate.

Test your hooks, pay as you go.
